CHAPTER 4
Today Geet left a little sooner because she didn't have her scooty and today she didn't want to be late. She arrived at the office just in time. But Maan was already present in the office, even before her.
But today, there was someone else sitting in his cabin whom Geet saw the first time today, in the office also . She later learned that this was Adi who was on vacation and joined today and special friend of Maan in the office.
Geet was doing her work , just then, Maan called her and asked to tell the entire team to come to the conference in 5 minutes. He wanted to have a meeting. He explained the project to everyone and gives everyone the target to complete in the day.
And no one will go home without completing it, He warned glaring each one. after the meeting was done, all started to work. Geet had a lot of work to do and there was previous day's pending work also. She completed it though but because of she was new to job, it took a while. It took a long time for her to finish the yesterday's work only.
Maan was calling everyone to his cabin to see the work progress, everyone had started the work already with great speed, Since Geet was the most junior, he called her after all, at the end.
Geet.. how work has been going?? any doubt??
sir, actually, my yesterday's work was pending, so i completed it first.now i am going to continue.
On hearing this, Maan was on fire, Geet listen, you are not in some college and this is not a college project this is an office and there are deadlines. Do you understand the importance of it?? And do you know that there is some kind of responsibility ..?
But sir, I m trying and I will actually finish before deadline.
When Geet?? when?? you haven't even started yet?? Don't you feel guilty at all that you haven't started yet? and you are saying that i am trying! when are you going to do it, because now it is going to be lunch break, 1-1.30 hours will go in that. that won't be done, i want the work should be done today itself, without completing it you won't go home.
and if you don't want to do it then tell me, i will handover it to someone, will you mange, won't you? Maan gives her one sharp glare,
Geet's eyes watered as No one had ever spoken to her like this before,
She simply said yes because she was not in a position to speak anymore.
You may leave now, said Maan.
Geet came out and decided to just focus on work. Not really in the mood but now she took it as a challenge. And she had to show him. how could he said like this, that i couldn't do it.
at lunch break everyone went to have lunch but Geet did not go. Because she didn't want to waste any time.
Maan saw her from partition between their cabins, she was lost in her own world, he stood there for a while just looking at her, after a moment he realized what he was doing and rushed from there, its' been fifteen minutes maan saw her from his cabin, she didn't move.
Now maan felt bad for her, She couldn't eat because of me. shit what did i do! she is new, i shouldn't have talk with her like that! she's not used to this work. Thinking Geet didn't even have a meal, he closed his tiffin as he couldn't eat.
Adi who has came to have lunch with his friend saw him without eating anything, closing the lunch box, Maan, first finished your lunch, he was so surprised.
sorry yaar, Adi, i am not hungry.

seeing Geet still working he felt bad, but he felt worse knowing that she had not eaten anything.
In the given time, everyone finished the work and left. Geet was going to stay in the office little late because of her work. In the meantime, Maan called Geet, Geet became tense thinking her work wasn't yet complete and he is going to insult her again.
have a sit Geet, he had pizza on his table, snacks were placed. He said to Geet, take it Geet!

Now Geet became speechless, she turns nervous, when she heard him next, Geet, today's work is done, you can go home now.
No, sir. it's little pending, Just give me 10 minutes, i can do it.
Oh yeah, I know you can do this and you have to do this only, if you want, you can come 10 minutes early tomorrow and do it. Not it's late, so it's enough for today.
Geet really wanted to leave only after completing the task, she was firm on her decision. She said back to Maan, okay, I am already late, then what matters by more 10 minutes late. and without spending time in discussion, i can complete my work.

Sir, I am not saying no but just saying that instead of tomorrow i can do the work today, that's it! And anyway, we've already wasted 10 minutes discussing this.

Maan had seen her crying but still he was much furious , crossing me, i was telling for her good only. and that attitude of hers, what she think of herself, cry or do anything, nothing matters to me.
